If you are unhappy with the appearance of your nose, but want to avoid surgery, you should consider a non-surgical rhinoplasty, or nose job. Sometimes known as the “liquid rhinoplasty,” the procedure involves the injection of a filler, such as hyaluronic acid, under the skin to temporarily alter the appearance of the nose.

Best Candidates
This procedure is optimal for those seeking to smooth away nose bumps, or make their nose appear less angular, while still wanting to avoid a permanent solution that could involve significant risks and a lengthy recovery time.
Non-Surgical Nose Job Cost
Undergoing a non-surgical rhinoplasty is much less expensive than a conventional nose job, typically costing between $600 and $1,500.
As a non-surgical nose job is considered to be an elective procedure, it is not covered by insurance. Unlike cosmetic surgery, there is no medical reason why a doctor would recommend a patient undergo this procedure.
The cost of a non-surgical nose job depends upon the type of filler administered, your specific provider, and the number of injections required.
To determine the exact cost of your individual procedure, meet with your provider in a consultation.
Procedure Benefits
One of the main benefits of undergoing a non-surgical nose job is that you will not need to be placed under general anesthesia. You’ll also enjoy a quick recovery with a low incidence of side effects.
You should be able to resume your normal activities and return to work within one day after your liquid rhinoplasty.
Another benefit of a non-surgical nose job is that the results are not permanent. So if you are unhappy with how you look after your procedure, it’s only a matter of time before the fillers lose their effect.
How It Works
A non-surgical nose job involves the delivery of dermal filler ingredients under the skin via injection.
The most common type of gel that is injected during a non-surgical nose job is hyaluronic acid. In some cases, Botox is also used.
After injection, the injected product remains at the site of injection. This will allow for the maintenance of your new nose shape for anywhere from six months to three years. At that point, the substances will be metabolized by your body, leading to the need for maintenance injections to maintain your cosmetic results.
Hyaluronic Acid
If you received injected hyaluronic acid for your procedure, it will work by drawing in moisture to the area for a hydrating and plumping effect. The result is additional volume wherever the filler was injected.
What To Expect
A liquid rhinoplasty procedure is extremely simple, particularly in comparison to traditional surgery.
To begin, you’ll be asked to lie down with your face pointed upward. Your doctor may administer a topical anesthetic to increase your comfort.
Once the anesthetic has taken effect, your doctor will inject the filler into the treatment site around your nose, which may include the bridge of the nose. You may feel a minor sensation of pressure or pinching when this happens.
An entire non-surgical nose job procedure should take around 30 minutes to complete.
Non-Surgical Nose Job Recovery
You can expect some degree of pain, swelling, and redness at the site of your injections. Within a couple of hours, the injections should have begun settling. Your skin redness will be fading, and you’ll begin seeing some initial results.
If you are experiencing redness and inflammation, you may want to apply an ice pack to the area if your doctor allows it.
In a week or two, the results of your non-surgical nose job should be fully evident. Any bruising or redness should have completely resolved by then.
